When you’re talking throwback bands, Chromeo is up there with the best of them. P-Thugg and Dave 1 (A-Trak’s brother) have been making some of the best funk electronica music out there. Throw in their obvious 80s influence, and Chromeo has garnered a pretty formidable following in the Fool’s Gold Records crowd. This song comes off their album “Business Casual” featuring guest vocals from Solange. Video has some zombie-like pregnant chicks chasing the band around, what could be better?

It’s been a pretty good week for mixtapes, here’s Jeezy’s contribution that dropped yesterday. The tape features the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Weezy, and Fabolous on an 18 track warmup to Jeezy’s eventual album, which is entitled Thug Motivation 103. TM103 is sure to be a monster release, expect it later in 2011.

I haven’t heard anything from Obie Trice in quite a bit. After being shot in the head twice, leaving Shady Records, and starting his own record label, he’s been preparing to release his first album on his independent label for quite some time. Here’s a new song from the former protege of Eminem, expect more new music from the Detroit native soon.

Here’s one of Britain’s hottest commodities with a mixtape in anticipation of his upcoming debut album entitled “Disc-Overy”, which drops on Tuesday. Known in the states for his song entitled Written in the Stars, let’s see if Tinie Tempah can break into America with a strong first showing. The mixtape features his single with Wiz Khalifa, and a couple of skits from fellow Brit Russell Brand.

Here’s one of the songs Tyler the Creator released to select blogs before his album drops. Tyler had people going wild all over the internet the last few weeks with fake leaks of his album Goblin. It finally leaked today, one day before the UK album release. Frank Ocean is featured singing on this dark love song, if you still don’t have his tapes get them immediately. You wouldn’t expect his style of R&B to emerge from Odd Future’s dementia. No download link on this one since it won’t drop in the US till the 10th. Sorry folks.

The most heavily anticipated debut album that I’ve seen in a very long time is officially finished. Via his twitter, J. Cole announced to all his followers that his album Cole World is complete. People who have listened to it have described it as a mix between Nas’ Illmatic and Yeezy’s “Late Registration”. High praise for a debut album. In honor of his finishing the album, Cole dropped this song named Disgusting. I don’t think J. Cole has ever released anything I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed, this doesn’t buck the trend. It’s amazing that without even releasing a debut album someone can be held in as high esteem as J. Cole. Look out for Cole World this summer.

Here’s another Kanye produced song from Consequence. Kanye kills the beat on it, Consequence is real lucky to have Yeezy in his camp. This song should be on Consequence’s next tape, “Movies on Demand 3″.

Ever since hearing his verse on the song “All Night” off Big Sean’s “Finally Famous The Mixtape”, I’ve always been waiting for Mr. Bentley’s next release. Originally intended to be an album, here’s his long awaited mixtape entitled “C.O.L.O.U.R.S.”. The tape’s highlights are mostly composed of songs that were released a long time ago, including his song “Everybody”, which features Kanye West and Andre 3000. I’d classify this as more of a compilation of Fonzworth Bentley songs, rather than a new mixtape. Still definitely worth a download, hopefully we’ll all see more from Diddy’s former assistant soon.
