Two brand new tracks from Sir Michael Rocks have arose to the blogosphere this morning. “Imagine” and “Out the Jam,” produced by Cardo and Monsta Beatz, respectively, are not set to be on any future projects from Sir Michael Rocks, yet. It is hard to see these tracks being unused, so hopefully we will catch word of a new project in the very near future. In the meantime, enjoy.

I do believe that this will be my new jam. Gigamesh is just a boss at remixing already great tracks by giving them a new vibe, while still keeping the essence of the original track in the mix. On February 14th, the soundtrack to the film Soundtrack to a Revolution will be released. It features contemporary artists singing traditional Civil Rights-era freedom songs. The Roots perform “Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around” in this clip, which juxtaposes black-and-white footage of 20th-century Civil Rights protests with color footage of the band performing in a recording studio.
