I haven’t been this happy to post a remix in a long time. Other than loving this summer’s blockbuster, Inception, the soundtrack to that film is amazing. Hans Zimmer, the composer, is famous for scoring: The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Pirates of the Caribbean films, Gladiator, The Thin Red Line, and many more films. We Plants Are Happy Plants do not take anything away from the original masterpiece while turning it into a dance banger. The remix is still gives the track that eerie and haunting feel to it that accompanied every audience as they watched Cobb attempt inception.

New single from Pittsburgh’s Prince, Wiz Khalifa. “Black and Yellow” is the first track to drop since Wiz signed on with Rostrum/Atlantic Records. This track is more Burn After Rolling than Kush and OJ, Wiz. The loop is catchy, fast, and the beats are sick. If this is the evolution of Wiz, wonder what he is going to do next…

What may just go down as the anthem of the year, has now just been made into one of the best music videos I have seen in a very long time. Cee-lo’s new song “Fuck You” is an amazing track, and the video does not disappoint. Lo’s “The Lady Killer” will be dropping this year, and judging by the caliber of music he is currently releasing, I couldn’t be more excited.
The Mau5 is back. After canceling several shows following him collapsing on stage, Deadmau5 is tearing up clubs in Europe. “Animal Rights” is not the usual fare the Deadmau5 fans are used to. The Euro craze must be getting to him, this collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner has a whole new feel to it. A little Daft Punk-ish and more electro than before.
Here’s a little special track for all my fellow Deadmau5-heads. This track, “Change Your Mind”, by Kylie Minogue was produced by Deadmau5.The smooth and sexy vocals balance out the fast-paced, trance-like beat. You can definitely hear his influence, even more so then “Animal Rights”.

This tape will most definitely be dope. 2dopeboyz threw it up the second it appeared on the web, and it appears I’m not the only one excited to watch Black El progress. Black El features the likes of Jon Hope and Outasight on one of my most highly anticipated mixtapes of the year so far. Dude is holding Boston on his back right now, and the mixtape sounds just as incredible as I thought it would.
Pwelbs put me onto this one, and I’m definitely glad he did, because this is just smooth. I love the jazz beat with the slow shaking in the background and with the slow flow brought by Boogy. This feels like what rap would’ve been in the 70′s if it had already been developing for a few decades, very Pulp Fiction ya dig? OK I’m done, enjoy.

My opinions on Roth go back and forth, but I’m digging this. Nottz’s verse is pretty dope and the beat absolutely bangs. Overall a great track. Must say I’m pretty excited for the upcoming Asher project, hopefully he doesn’t disappoint me as much as he did on his debut album.

Best. Day. Ever. What a thing to wake up to on a lazy Sunday, new heat from the blast master KRS-One, joined by RZA. This here is the first leak off the upcoming collaborative effort “Meta-Historical.” If you’ve been following HMC for a while you know KRS is one of my favorite MC’s of all time, so getting new music from him is a real treat.
